Acer AL2032 W LCD monitor wins
2005 iF design award
Acer's AL2032
W LCD monitor is a winner of the 2005 iF design (International
Forum Design) awards; as one of the best-known design contests
in the world, the iF design award has become a prestigious
trademark for outstanding design, and a symbol of a company's
commitment to innovation.
"We are honored to be selected by
the iF awards, and earlier this year by the Design Zentrum
Nordrhein Westfalen with Germany's Red Dot design award,"
said Gianfranco Lanci, President of Acer's International Operations
Business Group and Acer EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
"The awards demonstrate the industrial design community's
recognition for our commitment in combining multi-functionality,
connectivity and design in our products aimed at fulfilling
our customers' needs."
The iF award jury, composed of top international
designers, judged approximately 1,900 products from 740 participants
from 31 countries this year. The evaluation criteria include
design quality, workmanship, material choice, degree of innovation,
environmental friendliness, functionality, ergonomics, safety,
brand value, and branding.
Acer's AL2032 W LCD monitor sports
a sleek, minimalist appearance with geometric lines, while
flowing curves inspire a smooth, comfortable feel. A 20.1-inch
wide-aspect screen provides optimum viewing pleasure, and
the high-brightness LCD is ideal for pure entertainment. The
AL2032 W LCD monitor enhances the ambience of any room, either
atop a table or mounted on a wall.
