Q1: What is the effective date of the merger of Acer Inc. and Acer Sertek?
A: The effective date of the merger is on March 27, 2002.
  
Q2: After the merger, which company will be the surviving listed company?
A: Acer Sertek (2353.tw) is the surviving listed company. Right after the completion of the merger, the
Company is to be renamed as Acer Inc.
  
Q3: Acer Inc. announced to merge with Acer Sertek. What is the planned stock ratio between Sertek and Acer Inc stock? How about their capital size before and after the merger?
A: Per 2.5 old Acer Inc. (2306.tw) shares can exchange and convert into one (1) Acer Sertek
(2353.tw) share. Before the merger, capital for Acer Inc. was NT$43,261,121,100, while
Sertek's was NT$2,565,780,000. The combined capital after the merger is expected to be
around NT$19,102,216,000.
  
Q4: What is the new structure of the Pan Acer Group
A: After the restructuring, Pan Acer Group will be divided into four major categories:
 
Acer Inc. Group: concentrate on developing e-Enabling services, Acer branded business, and
the global sale and distribution of IT products and services.
Wistron Group: dedicate its principal business to OEM, ODM, OEM system integration and
the provision of related services.
BenQ Group:in charge of manufacturing, assembly, sale and distribution of
computer peripherals, communication products and digital life
devices including mobile phones, plasma display, optical
storage and imaging products.
IBUs: Independent Business Units (such as Ambit, Ali...)
